Cats, Edited
I finally got around to clipping the cats nails today. All three of them. I also gave them Vaseline to help with hairballs. Aurora was hacking really bad a couple months ago and after a lot of research I found out that a little Vaseline should do the trick, if they keep hacking but nothing comes out give it to them daily until their hairball is gone. Otherwise, give it to them weekly to eliminate the probability of getting them.
Aurora Leigh, she is my baby. She is so good when it comes to clipping her nails, she lays there and lets me do it. At the last nail, without fail, she tries to escape me. It’s vital that I clip her nails because in the morning she loves to sit on me, find bare skin, and kneed into my skin. Not a pleasant way to be rudely awakened at six in the morning! But when it comes to giving her Vaseline she runs around the house and hides in various places. When she had a hairball she’d lick it off my finger, now she can’t stand it. I have to wipe it on her front paw. She’s just got thick fur so she really needs it.
Briar Rose, my little shit, struggles every step of the way and shoves her paws against me has her claws out all the way. The amazing thing is, as much of a fight as she puts up (with her claws out) she never scratches me. She just acts like she’s going to rip me to shreds. And she loves Vaseline, she’d lick the container clean if I let her, werido!
Bonnie Rae, my roommates cat was not too bad. She is very long and lean and able to twist. Not to mention I’ve never clipped her claws before. She wasn’t bad though. And she too loves the Vaseline.
Anyways, I successfully have taken care of the cats for the night(: and it all took about five minutes - wahoo! Everyone else I know has to wrap their cats in towels and have another person hold the cat! I guess I got lucky with my little ones, success!
